Part of the First Oscar Trilogy (Being Bree 2010, Chalice 2011, and a photo series titled Chromis Viridis 2015- ), this work focuses on a short scene from the seminal 1976 film Network (dir: Sidney Lumet, 1976), starring Faye Dunaway (in her first Oscar winning performance) as Diana Christensen in which she seduces her male boss by various means: emasculating herself, hinting at the homosexuality of her ex-husband, and self deprecating her sexual prowess. By giving Diana my voice I subvert the layers of her personality and bring to the front issues of over-identification with this character. The filming and editing process of this piece, while lo-tech is equally layered, making it a stand-in for the characters involved in it.
